Chad Scott
Meet Chad, MMA’s Development Director. Chad joined MMA with twenty-seven years’ experience in philanthropy, with many of those years working in faith-based organizations serving the homeless. Chad began his career working with homelessness in The Salvation Army District Command in Lexington, Kentucky and then Charlotte, North Carolina. He then served as Director of Philanthropy for Public Broadcast Station WTVI Television in Charlotte. After the earthquakes in Haiti in 2010, Chad was called to work as Vice President of Philanthropy for Pwjoe Espwa de Sud (Project Hope of the South) in Les Cayes, Haiti, the largest orphanage in the Western Hemisphere at the time. More recently Chad served as the Vice President of Philanthropy for Harvest Hope Food Bank in South Carolina.
Chad lives with his wife Jamey, son Holden and dogs, Gertie and Oliver, and cat Quinn in downtown Rutherfordton. Chad is an avid musician and plays both country and bluegrass with a long-time band.
